All Dressed Up (no place to go)
A brand new digital opera by Michael Ching

 In May 2020, L'arietta Productions was slated to produce Speed Dating Tonight! by Michael Ching. Just like other opera companies around the world, we had to put the health of our community first, and postpone the production. 

​...but we didn't stop there.  

All Dressed Up (No Place to Go) was conceived as a way to keep operatic performances alive while social distancing, in the comfort of our homes. The characters sing about their dreams, anxiety, and hope as they all adjust to the times. For the next eight weeks, a new character will be introduced through their brand new aria, followed by a glimpse into their day, all through social media. A first of its kind, All Dressed Up (No Place to Go) is an operatic response transmitted to the world, at the click of a button.
