Signature Productions 

L'arietta stages two main productions every season. 
​
We produce fun and fresh chamber operas that reach not just to the experienced opera-goer, but also to the wider general public, many of whom may not have attended any arts events previously.

To be relevant and to entertain, L’arietta’s productions are:
  • Approximately one hour
  • In English
  • Experiential – Sights! Sounds! Smells!
  • Multi-disciplinary: working with Singapore's leading visual artists, videographers and composers

Technical Workshops & Masterclasses

L’arietta conducts an ongoing series of workshops and masterclasses geared towards semi-professional singers, or students in the institutes of higher learning in Singapore, who may be contemplating a career in the operatic field. 

We believe that in order for our field to grow, it is imperative to develop the future local talent.

  • Jan 2016: Understanding character development through Samuel Barber's “Hand of Bridge”: open rehearsal with SOTA music students 
  • Nov 2016: Opera: Music & Theatre's Perfect Marriage. Open rehearsal lead by co-artistic director Akiko Otao and Director of Operacalypse Now Mary Ann Tear
  • Nov 2017: Biomechanics as Opera & Musical Theatre Training by Dr. Ralf Rauker
